Our specialists also have clinical privileges and admitting rights in a local overnight hospital of their choice.
Our onsite allied health professionals support our wellbeing program that involves a proactive referral pathway within our facility. This includes:
- Exercise physiology
- Oncology massage
- Nutrition and dietetic support
- Clinical psychology
- McGrath Foundation Breast Care Nurse
Due to growth and the retirement of the founder of the Sunshine Coast Haematology and Oncology Clinic, Dr John Reardon, we are looking for a Clinical Haematologist to join our medical team of four specialists.
This motivated Clinical Haematologist has the opportunity too:
- Provide excellence in haematological health care.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient consultation for patients with haematological conditions.
- Plan, prescribe and supervise of inpatient haematological services provided within the day hospital and/or selected overnight hospital.
- Work in collaboration with pathology companies for the provision of bone marrow biopsies and all pathology requirements.
- Participate in clinical trials in Partnership with the University of the Sunshine Coast and other clinical trial providers.
- Participate in marketing and/or educational activities to promote services provided by Sunshine Coast Haematology & Oncology Clinic and the Montserrat Cancer Care group.
- Attend local MDT’s.
- Be on call 1 weekend every 6 weeks.

Our new Clinical Haematologist will be supported by an experienced onsite team, including:
- A team of specialists who work collaboratively (1 full time Medical Oncologist, 1 full time and 2 part time Clinical Haematologists).
- A dedicated Clinical Manager and Business Manager to:
- Implement and drive a clear marketing strategy for your private practice
- Facilitate provision of provider numbers and all on boarding requirements
- Provide support around financial management of your private practice
- Manage the day hospital
- Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met, including meeting national and ISO accreditations standards.
- An experienced team of reception & administration staff that manage all bookings, billing, correspondence and other administrative tasks as directed by our Specialists.
- A dedicated team of nursing staff with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in cancer therapy administration.
- A catering team who provide our patients and Specialists lunch and refreshments on a daily basis.
